West Lake is considered one of the most romantic places in China. Located in the center of Hangzhou, the honeymoon capital of China, it offers its residents visitors a haven from the city surrounding it. After a day of walking around the lake itself I saw this boat stop off in the distance.

The Jain temple in Ranakpur is stunning. This temple houses 1444 uniquely carved marble pillars. It was built between the 14th qnd 15th century. One thing I love about India is that there is history everywhere. The temples are always different in architecture and each one stands on its own merit.

Our trek to Everest Base Camp this year was amazing there is no doubt about that. But what made it even more amazing for a photographer like myself was the abundance of beautiful scenery in the Himalayas. Everywhere you look there are breathtaking vistas unlike anywhere else in the world.
Sunset Stilts in Hikkaduwa, Sri Lanka
Stilts abandoned by fishermen after the tsunami dot the landscape. On this day someone had attached the Sri Lankan flag to one of them and as the sun set between them it sort of hit home what had been lost; homes, lives, livelihoods they are still rebuilding.
Colorful Traveling Musician in India
As I walked along the ghats in Udaipur we came across this musician resting before heading to the Shilpgram Festival. The color of his turban and the intensity in his eyes draw you in. While I chatted with him about his show he informed me that he tries to come to Udaipur each year because it is so peaceful. Travel photography can really help you get to know the people and teach you a little bit about their culture at the same time.

Magic hour in Udaipur, India is truly magical. City Palace is lit up beautifully and if you go to the ghats on the other side of the lake you can capture great images like this one.
